The strategy game Distrust puts you in the role of a group of explorers who have crashed near an arctic base. Your task is to find a way home, but you face an unusual threat. The sleep you need to combat fatigue attracts a terrifying, life-draining force. You'll have to balance on the edge of exhaustion and madness, where it's hard to tell reality from hallucinations. The game is supplied as an electronic licence with a Steam key and is designed for a single player.

After their helicopter crashes in the arctic wilderness, a group of survivors finds themselves in a nightmare. Their main enemy isn't just the cold, but their own fatigue. Whenever they try to sleep to rest, they attract an unknown force that gradually drains their life. Conversely, if they resist sleep for too long, they begin to lose their sanity and descend into a state where they can't distinguish reality from hallucinations.
Switch Characters and Analyse the Situation
Distrust is built on a unique mechanic where you must constantly question what you see. You will have the opportunity to switch between the individual survivors and see the world through their eyes. Each character perceives reality differently depending on their psychological state. Your task is to compare their perceptions, analyse the differences, and decide which threats are real and which are mere hallucinations. Only then can you make the right strategic decisions for the group's survival.
A Rescue Mission Gone Wrong
The story begins with a routine mission that goes tragically wrong. Your group of explorers finds themselves in the middle of nowhere after their helicopter crashes near an arctic base. The original goal of finding a way home quickly turns into a desperate fight for survival. As the survivors try to endure the hostile conditions, they sink deeper and deeper into a nightmare where every blink of an eye could be their last. The longer they resist exhaustion, the smaller their chance of rescue becomes.
The purchased product key must be activated in Steam:
1) Go to https://store.steampowered.com/ and click on the green button that says "Install Steam".
2) Install and run the Steam client and log in with your existing account or create a new one.
3) Click "Add Game" at the bottom left corner of the screen and then select "Activate a Product on Steam"
4) The "Product Activation" window will pop up. Follow the onscreen instructions and enter your purchased code.
5) Once the activation is complete, you can find the new game in your "Library" tab.
6) Press the blue "Install" button to install the game.
