Dream Theater: Octavarium
LP Record Octavarium is the eighth studio album by the band Dream Theater. The album was recorded between September 2004 and February 2005 and is considered the last album recorded at The Hit Factory in New York. For Octavarium, the band decided to create a classic Dream Theater album, drawing on various stylistic influences while aiming for less complex music. The creative concept of the album is based on the musical octave. The band's eighth album from 2005 could be seen as following in the footsteps of Pink Floyd, Coldplay, and U2, as alongside the familiar and often playful instrumental parts, the record features elements related to these rock groups.
