Dune - DVD

This cult sci-fi work tells the story of the power struggle within the Galactic Empire for control of the planet Arrakis: the source of a rare spice, melange, which provides special psychic abilities that enable space travel.
The Padishah Emperor entrusts the administration of Arrakis, and with it the complicated mining of an extraordinary substance, to the Duke of House Atreides. But the whole anabasis is part of a conspiracy from which only the Duke's son Paul and his mother manage to escape into the desert. Their only hope is the distrustful indigenous Fremen, able to survive permanently in the arid wasteland. Could Paul Atreides be the savior they have been waiting for?
