Excalibur - DVD
The story of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table gets its best shape from the visionary filmmaker John Boorman in Excalibur.
The film contains all the essential elements of today' s classic masterpiece by Sir Thomas Malory, Le Morte Darthur: Arthur (Nigel Terry) and his Excalibur sword, the Knights of the Round Table, heroic attempts to find the Holy Grail and the ever-changing balance of power between the cunning magician Merlin (Nicol Williamson) and the evil witch Morgana (Helen Mirren).
