Knopfler Mark: Privateering (2012) (2x CD) - CD

BRITISH PHENOMENAL GUITARIST, COMPOSER AND SINGER OF DIRE STRAITS, MARK KNOPFLER RELEASES NEW ALBUM!

Composer and guitarist Mark Knopfler is one of the most respected and original figures in modern music.

Knopfler, known as the frontman of the ever-popular Dire Straits, drew attention to his talent for the first time with hits such as “Sultans Of Swing“, the socially tuned 12-minute anthem “Telegraph Road“ (edited in the Czech Republic by Robert Křesťan and his Pilgrims) and “Money for Nothing“ which immortalized the phrase “I Want My MTV“.

Although he became known to the audience mainly as a singer and guitarist for Dire Straits, his success also accompanies him on his solo career, which he began at the time of the band' s greatest fame in 1983.

The double album “Privateering“ is Knopfler' s seventh series solo album. He has produced it with Guy Fletcher, with whom he has been dating for almost thirty years, since the days of Dire Straits. The line-up did not undergo major changes, a few guests also helped.
