Luisa and Lotka

They are as similar as eggs to eggs. Will they make it to the right place, even though fate has separated them again?

It's unbelievable. When the curly-haired Luisa Palffy stands still for a moment and Lotka Körner untangles her braids, perhaps even the old lady with glasses like a cucumber bottle can see that these nine-year-old girls from the summer camp in the Alps are maddeningly similar. But how can that be, when her daddy has sent her all-powerful naughty girl all the way from Vienna, while her peer, born on the same day, a little girl as gentle as a sheep, lives with her mother in Munich? That it won't be so easy to crack after the holidays? You don't know enterprising ladies. The rediscovered sisters have wit and courage to spare, and most importantly: finally one another. Although now they will face unexpected ambush in the skin of their twin!

A novella about sisterly bonding, broken adults and the immeasurable struggle to be together again belongs to the golden fund of books for the youngest children. The comedy story has seen a quarter of a century of film adaptations in many German and international productions, first in 1950.
