Max Richter: The Blue Notebooks
LP Record Deutsche Grammophon presents a new expanded edition of Max Richter's The Blue Notebooks to mark the 15th anniversary of the work's creation. Richter recorded the piece in just three hours. Despite this, the album became a cult classic, then a trendsetter, and finally a standard masterpiece. It paved the way for a whole generation of successful young composers. It has been downloaded millions of times on Spotify and has even been used frequently in adverts, TV shows, and films. What is commonplace today was revolutionary at the time – with The Blue Notebooks, Richter was one of the first to combine classical and electronic elements with post-rock perspectives. The bonus material includes new and previously unreleased tracks and remixes.
