Become a Master of Trade
The key to success in Merchants of Kaidan is understanding the market. The prices of goods are constantly changing depending on demand and various events. To succeed, you must listen to the rumours and gossip in taverns, which will give you clues as to what is worth selling and where. To trade more effectively, you can hire experts in various fields. These advisors will help you maximise profits and minimise losses thanks to their specialised knowledge and skills.
Risk Equals Reward
The game will present you with a series of decisions where you will have to weigh the level of risk. For example, you can buy furs cheaply in the summer and hope to sell them for a higher price when winter comes, but you risk them being stolen during long-term storage. An alternative is to buy illegal herbs that can be smuggled into town for a large profit. In that case, however, you face the threat of guards, whom you can try to bribe or hope they don't find anything during an inspection.
A Dangerous World Full of Pitfalls
The world of Kaidan is dynamic and full of unexpected pitfalls. During your journey, you may encounter a number of random events that will directly affect your journey and trade. You may be caught in a storm at sea, while in the air there is the threat of a dragon attack or being ambushed on the road. Each type of transport – by road, sea and air – carries specific risks that you must take into account when planning your trade routes.
