LP Record Benny Andersson first dedicates himself to his personal selection of ABBA hits on the piano. As the principal songwriter for ABBA, he was responsible for countless No. 1 hits that propelled the iconic quartet to become one of the most successful groups of the 20th century in record time; a global pop phenomenon that perfectly captured the zeitgeist of an era with its evergreen hits and continues to delight generations of listeners around the planet to this day. After almost half a billion records sold worldwide and countless gold and platinum awards, the Swedish musician, composer, and producer now presents himself from a completely different side for the first time on “Piano”.

LP Record Orrin Keepnews' commentary (from his new notes): "When I recorded Montgomery in 1960, I realised it was essential to keep everything as clear and simple as possible. There were at least three unique aspects to his playing style: he played with his thumb, never using a pick, and his solos almost always included two elements that were commonly considered 'impossible' – the use of octaves and pianistic block chords. He was self-taught (his first 'lesson' was listening intently to Charlie Christian's records) and he could never read music, yet he had an unerring mastery of blues and ballad tempos and was a formidable composer."

LP Record With the album Pornography, The Cure released one of the key gothic rock albums of 1982. Although it wasn't well-received by critics at first, many fans now consider it the best work the band has ever released. One thing is certain: Pornography is a milestone in 80s music. It's regarded as The Cure's darkest album ever, after which a dive into a more colourful pop world was an almost logical next step.

LP Record Fans of the American singer Norah Jones have had to wait more than four years for her new album. The record, titled Day Breaks, is released on 7th October. The Texas native's sixth studio album is a return to her musical roots, specifically to the sound of her 2002 debut album Come Away With Me, for which she won a total of eight prestigious Grammy awards. “I feel like this new album is a 'full circle' moment because I'm going back to my early influences. After my first album, I drifted away from the piano a little. I still played it, but I was more inspired to write new songs on the guitar. I really enjoyed playing the piano on these new tracks,” the artist adds about the making of the album.
