LP Record Barry Adamson presents Memento Mori (Anthology 1978–2018), an album spanning his forty-year career as a songwriter and recording artist, first compiled for Mute's 40th anniversary. Memento Mori features tracks from Adamson's four-decade creative journey, from 'Parade' (1978), which he co-wrote with English post-punk legends Magazine, through his involvement as a founding member of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds on their album From Her to Eternity, to his nine solo albums, from 1988's Moss Side Story to the Love Sick Dick EP – and last but not least, a new, previously unreleased track, 'The Hummingbird'.
LP Record The Memory of Trees is an album by Irish singer and musician Enya, released on 6 November 1995. It is her fifth studio album and features the singles "Only Time" and "The Memory of Trees". The album was a commercial success, reaching number three on the Billboard 200 chart in the United States and number one in her native Ireland. It was certified multi-platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for shipments of four million copies in the United States. The Memory of Trees received mixed reviews from music critics, who praised its ethereal sound but criticised its lack of innovation.
LP Record Tomorrow's Modern Boxes, the second solo album by Radiohead singer Thom Yorke, was originally released only digitally and as a limited deluxe vinyl in 2014. Now he has decided to make it regularly available through XL Recordings. Tomorrow's Modern Boxes contains eight songs and was the first new material from Yorke's pen after the last Radiohead album The King Of Limbs (2011) and the Atoms For Peace album Atom (2013). On his 2006 solo debut The Eraser, this exceptional artist opened up incredible soundscapes that were not too far removed from those of Radiohead. His second album also features two key partners from the Radiohead universe, bassist Colin Greenwood and, most notably, producer Nigel Godrich.
LP Record Marissa Nadler releases her ninth solo album, "The Path of the Clouds". Across eleven deeply personal, self-produced songs, Marissa Nadler explores new landscapes, both sonically and emotionally – with lyrics focusing on metamorphosis, love, mysticism, crime stories, and dark thoughts of murder. Free from the ethereal reverb that often cloaks her resonant voice, Nadler's vocals are bold and piercing, delivered with a new immediacy and confidence, set apart from the sparse dream-folk of her earlier work.
LP Record Producer Nicolas Jaar and guitarist Dave Harrington come from starkly different backgrounds. Jaar hails from the New York minimal techno scene, where he rose to stardom with a series of brilliant dance singles. On his 2011 album, "Space Is Only Noise", Jaar deconstructed common forms of electronic music, reassembling them into intoxicating new shapes. Harrington, on the other hand, started out as a young bass player with a passion for experimental jazz. After joining Nicolas Jaar's live band as a guitarist in 2011, he began to incorporate electronic elements into his own work. Now, the two musicians have explored their common ground to form the exceptional duo Darkside.
LP Record This concert evening in Paris not only showcased the Mark III lineup at the peak of their powers but also documented the final performance with Ritchie Blackmore before he left the band to form Rainbow. It was an incredible show in front of thousands of enthusiastic fans at the Palais des Sports Arena, featuring over two hours of amazing rock music, complete with drum and guitar solos that were as powerful as they were fascinating. A contemporary document of Deep Purple's influence on the world of rock.
LP Record Singer-songwriter Mike Ness and his three bandmates spent four years working on the album "White Light White Heat White Trash", which was released in 1996. The new LP (unlike its country and rockabilly-oriented predecessor) was heavily influenced by the "first wave of American punk", with idols like the Dead Boys, The Dickies, X, and Johnny Thunders. Incidentally, Social Distortion, who formed in the early 80s in Orange County, Southern California, managed to get none other than Michael Beinhorn (Soundgarden, Red Hot Chili Peppers) to produce "White Light...".
LP Record The term "legend" is thrown around far too loosely these days, with music being perhaps the worst offender. But in Ray Charles, modern music has someone it can proudly call one of culture's true geniuses. Over a career spanning almost sixty years, Charles forged his own path, blending gospel and R&B to create soul music. He later found success in country and rock 'n' roll, proving his versatility and talent. Charles broke down not just musical barriers but racial ones too, living and performing during a difficult time for black men and women in America. This three-part collection features some of Ray Charles's most popular, influential, and ground-breaking recordings.
LP Record Garlands is the debut album by the band Cocteau Twins, released in 1982. The album was recorded when the band was still a trio consisting of Elizabeth Fraser, Robin Guthrie and Will Heggie. The dominant features of the album are Fraser's ethereal vocals and Guthrie's guitar textures. The album has been described as a "landmark in the development of ethereal wave music".
LP Record King Diamond's 1990 album, "The Eye", is a concept album about a young girl who is sent to a psychiatric hospital after witnessing the murder of her parents. The King Diamond album is dark and heavy, featuring his signature falsetto vocals and bleak lyrics. "The Eye" is a classic album in King Diamond's catalogue and a must-listen for fans of dark metal.
LP Record Good Thing is the second studio album by American soul singer Leon Bridges, released on 4 May 2018. The album marks a stylistic shift from his debut record, incorporating more modern R&B and pop elements while still retaining Bridges' classic soul feel. Good Thing features a collection of ten tracks that showcase Bridges' versatility and artistic growth. Notable songs include the lead single "Bad Bad News", which blends upbeat rhythms with an empowering message, and "Beyond", a romantic ballad that reflects on the potential for deep love. Other tracks such as "Bet Ain't Worth The Hand" and "Forgive You" further explore themes of love and heartbreak with Bridges' smooth vocal delivery.

LP Record "This is a very important album for the band," says Steve Howe, Yes's longest-serving member, guitarist and producer of "Mirror To The Sky", the band's 23rd studio album. "We maintained the continuity in the approach we established on 'The Quest', but we haven't repeated ourselves. That was the main thing. Much like Yes in the seventies, we're growing and moving forward from one album to the next. In later years, Yes would often get going but then not follow through with the next thing. This album demonstrates that we're growing and building something again."
LP Record Punk in a Motown coat What a surprise: at the end of September, Idles announced a new studio album to be released this year. "Crawler" will be out on 12 November 2021. The record features 14 new tracks, which the band – Joe Talbot (vocals), Jon Beavis (drums), Mark Bowen (lead guitar), Lee Kiernan (rhythm guitar), and Adam Devonshire (bass guitar) – recorded at Real World Studios in Bath during the coronavirus pandemic. "Crawler" was co-produced by Kenny Beats (Vince Staples, Slowthai, Freddie Gibbs), who also worked on the previous album, and Idles guitarist Mark Bowen.
