Martin Goffa
Martin Goffa is the pseudonym of the author of thrillers and numerous detective series featuring investigator Mikuláš Syrový and journalist Marek “Terence” Vráz. He writes in a thrilling, readable, human, but also humorous way. And above all, authentically. This is because in his stories, he draws on his experience from many years of police practice. He is familiar with turbulent human fates, the tragedies that stem from them, thorough character psychology, and a sense for lightening oppressive situations. He received the Jiří Marek Award for the best Czech detective story of 2016 for his novel Child in the Fog. His latest book is the detective novel Chronicle of a Freefall (2022).
