LP Record When Sigrid started out, her style was minimalist: a white T-shirt and jeans, the utilitarian uniform of an ever-ready pop star. Over time, it somehow became warped, with critics thinking it was the product of a major label's marketing meeting. "I felt like I'd lost some of the ownership," she says. "There was so much talk about the white T-shirt and jeans, in every interview, on every poster, everything was focused on that, and when we started this cycle, I was really frustrated and confused – I felt like it wasn't mine anymore. But in the end, I realised that it is mine. It came from me. I won't let anyone else claim it." This also led to a more existential realisation.
