The Day After - DVD

Research by climate scientist Jack Hall (Dennis Quaid) suggests that global warming could trigger a rapid and catastrophic change in the Earth's climate.
Across the globe, rapid weather changes are taking place: Grapefruit-sized hail falls in Tokyo, a record-breaking hurricane rages in Hawaii, snow falls in Delhi and a devastating series of tornadoes sweeps through Los Angeles.
The amount of water from melting polar ice caps has disrupted the ocean currents that stabilise our climate system. Global warming has pushed the planet to the brink of a new ice age, which will occur during a single global superstorm.

While Jack warns the White House of impending climate change, his 17-year-old son Sam (Jake Gyllenhaal) is stuck in New York. The population is evacuated south, but Jack heads north to rescue Sam. But even Jack is not prepared for what will happen - to him, his son and his planet.
