The Who: Who (Deluxe Edition) - CD

After 13 long years, The Who released their twelfth album in 2019 with the simple and all-encompassing title of Who.

“The album consists of songs that were all but two written during the last year, “ says Townshend. “ Album has no topic no concept not a story it' s just a set of songs, which my brother Simon and I wrote as inspiration, a challenge and an opportunity for Robert Daltrey to try out his newly revived voice. Roger and I are old men in every way, so I tried to stay away from romance and nostalgia as best I could. I didn' t want anyone to feel uncomfortable. But the memories are fine. Some songs also refer to the alarming state of today' s world. ”

“ I think we recorded the best album since Quadrophenia in 1973, “ adds Daltrey. “ Pete is still a great lyricist . ”
