The game is divided into two main parts. On the global map of Earth, you plan your next moves, manage bases, direct research, and move your units. As soon as a clash with the enemy occurs, the game switches to tactical mode. Here, you directly control your team of soldiers in a detailed environment. The battles take place in real-time, but you have the option to pause the game at any time and give your soldiers orders, which gives you time to think through your tactics.
Saving Earth from an Alien Threat
The story of UFO: Aftermath places you in a situation where Earth is under attack by a hostile alien civilisation. Your mission is to lead the resistance and try to save the planet. During the campaign, you will face not only technologically advanced invaders, but also their creations – dangerous mutants that have evolved from terrestrial life forms. The battles take place both on land in vast levels and in the air, where you will clash with enemy aircraft.

Technological superiority is the key to success. The game offers a sophisticated research system that allows you to analyse alien artefacts and develop new equipment based on them. This will gradually unlock access to better weapons, more durable armour, and other technologies that will give your soldiers an advantage in battle. The right focus on research and development is crucial for dealing with the increasingly powerful enemies you will encounter throughout the game.
The purchased product key must be activated in Steam:
1) Go to https://store.steampowered.com/ and click on the green button that says "Install Steam".
2) Install and run the Steam client and log in with your existing account or create a new one.
3) Click "Add Game" at the bottom left corner of the screen and then select "Activate a Product on Steam"
4) The "Product Activation" window will pop up. Follow the onscreen instructions and enter your purchased code.
5) Once the activation is complete, you can find the new game in your "Library" tab.
6) Press the blue "Install" button to install the game.
