Medicamenta Calcii carbonici 0.5 tbl is a calcium preparation that replenishes the level of calcium in the body.
Glenmark Calcii carbonici 0,5 tbl Medicamenta is intended for the prevention and treatment of calcium deficiency (hypocalcemia) in case of insufficient calcium intake in the diet or in case of its increased need.
Calcii carbonici 0.5 tablets may be taken in pregnancy and breastfeeding, in fracture healing and in the elderly as fracture prevention (together with vitamin D), during long-term corticosteroid treatment, in calcium metabolism disorders, in allergic diseases arising mainly due to congenital disposition (e.g. atopic eczema), for cramps, rickets (rickets), softening of bones (osteomalacia), thinning of bones (osteoporosis), in allergic inflammation of the nasopharynx and various skin diseases (dermatoses).
The preparation is suitable for adults, adolescents and children.
Suitable for pregnant and breastfeeding women*
For children when lime deficiency is detected
In fracture healing and as fracture prevention in the elderly (to be taken at the same time as vitamin D)
In osteoporosis (thinning of bones) and osteomalacia (softening of bones)
With long-term corticosteroid treatment
*Pregnant and lactating women may take the product on the advice of a physician.
Dosage and method of use
Adults:
They take 2 to 4 tablets a day when administered preventively.
For therapeutic use, the dosage can be increased as recommended by a physician.
Children:
take 1/2 - 1 tablet daily.
Adults and children swallow the recommended dose whole or divided, with sufficient liquid.
Contraindications
Do not use the product if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to the drug substance or to any other component of Calcii carbonici 0.5 tbl. Also, if you have elevated levels of calcium in your body (hypercalcaemia), if you suffer from kidney insufficiency or if you have kidney or gallstones. If you are breastfeeding, be aware that calcium is passed into breast milk. At the recommended dosage, it does not affect the quality of breastfeeding. However, alkaline milk syndrome develops with prolonged administration of high doses.
Ingredients
It contains the medicinal substance calcii carbonas (calcium carbonate), 0.5 g in 1 tablet.
Excipients are lactose monohydrate, wheat starch, gelatin, talc, magnesium stearate.

Medicinal preparation with the active substance magnesii lactas dihydricus for internal use. Read the package insert carefully before use. If necessary, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Storage
Store at temperatures up to 25 °C. Keep this product out of sight and reach of children. Do not use this product after the expiry date stated on the box and blister. The expiry date shall be the last day of the month indicated. Do not dispose of any medicines in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of products you no longer use. These measures help protect the environment.
