Processor performance
At the heart of the computer is the Intel Core 5 120U processor, which operates at a base frequency of 1.4GHz. Under increased load, the frequency can rise to 5GHz. The system uses two performance cores and eight efficiency cores. A 12MB Smart Cache helps to speed up the processing of system requests. The ten-core processor handles demanding work tasks without delay.
RAM and fast storage
The device includes 16GB of DDR5-SDRAM, operating at a frequency of 5600MHz. The manufacturer has installed the memory modules in a 2×8GB configuration in the SO-DIMM sockets. File storage is handled by a 512GB SSD, connected via a PCI Express 4.0 NVMe interface. The fast SSD shortens the start-up time for both the operating system and applications.
Port selection
The computer offers a wide range of options for connecting peripheral devices. You can connect the computer to monitors via one HDMI 2.1 port and one DisplayPort 1.4 port. Data transfer is provided by a Thunderbolt 4 port (USB-C) and a total of four USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports. The Thunderbolt 4 connector transfers data at speeds of up to 40Gb/s. The computer also offers a combo port for headphones and a microphone with a Realtek ALC256 chip.
Wireless and wired network connectivity
The computer provides network connectivity via two RJ-45 Ethernet ports with speeds of 1Gbps and 2.5Gbps. Wireless communication is handled by the Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX211 module, which operates in the 6GHz band. You can connect wireless accessories using Bluetooth version 5.3. The dual network connection creates a backup link in case one of the lines fails.
Data security
The protection of sensitive information takes place at the hardware level. The computer has an integrated fTPM 2.0 security chip that encrypts stored data. A Kensington lock slot provides protection against theft of the device from your desk. The pre-installed Windows 11 Pro system includes advanced management and security tools.
Power and energy management
The computer supports MSI Power Link technology for turning on the machine directly with a button on a compatible monitor. Power is supplied by an external AC adapter. MSI Center software with the Power Meter function helps you monitor electricity consumption and estimate your carbon footprint. An external power button makes it easy to start the computer when it is placed in a hard-to-reach location.
