The NEDIS MPWD15BK is a handheld dynamic microphone designed for vocals, karaoke, and basic voice applications. Its directional (cardioid) polar pattern helps to focus on the main sound source and reduce ambient noise. The microphone is equipped with a detachable 5-metre cable, which provides plenty of freedom of movement when singing or presenting.
The NEDIS MPWD15BK microphone uses a dynamic construction, which is resistant to mechanical stress and does not require an external power supply. The microphone body is made of aluminium, which ensures greater durability and stability during use. The integrated on/off switch allows you to quickly mute the microphone during use. The detachable microphone cable allows for easy handling and replacement if needed.
The directional pickup pattern focuses on sound coming from the front of the microphone and reduces ambient noise. The frequency range of 80Hz to 12kHz is optimised for transmitting the human voice, making the microphone suitable for karaoke, singing, and basic sound reinforcement. Its simple connection via a 6.35mm jack and XLR makes it compatible with a wide range of audio devices, such as amplifiers, mixing consoles, or karaoke systems.
Microphone PrincipleA dynamic microphone is suitable for outdoor performances, live broadcasts, music production, etc. It uses a magnet and a moving coil to capture sound.
A condenser microphone is mainly used for studio purposes. It has higher sensitivity and lower noise. It must be powered separately.
Frequency RangeThe frequency range indicates the range of frequency values that the microphone records. The wider the range, the more sounds it can record.
Low frequencies (e.g. 20–200Hz): Bass, the lowest notes of instruments (double bass, kick drum) and male voices.
Mid frequencies (e.g. 200–3,000Hz): The body of instruments, the foundation of the voice where the ear is most sensitive, important for speech intelligibility.
High frequencies (e.g. 3,000–14,000Hz): Treble, details, sibilance and the "shine" of the sound.
Air band (above 14,000Hz): Gives recordings a sense of expensive, super-high-quality sound and space.
SensitivityMicrophone sensitivity is the ratio of output voltage to acoustic pressure. It expresses how loud a signal the microphone produces at a given acoustic pressure; higher sensitivity means a stronger voltage and is suitable for quiet studios, while lower sensitivity is better for noisy environments because it unnecessarily amplifies less ambient noise.
