The NEDIS MPWD25BK is a handheld dynamic microphone designed for singing, karaoke, and basic voice use. Its directional (cardioid) polar pattern helps focus pickup on the main sound source and reduces ambient noise. The microphone comes with a detachable 5-metre cable, providing ample freedom of movement while singing or presenting.
The NEDIS MPWD25BK microphone features a dynamic design that is resistant to mechanical stress and does not require external power. The body of the microphone is made of aluminium, which ensures greater durability and stability during use. An integrated switch allows you to quickly mute the microphone while it is in use. The detachable microphone cable allows for easy handling and replacement if needed.
The directional pickup pattern focuses on sound coming from the front of the microphone and reduces ambient noise. The frequency range of 80 Hz to 13 kHz is optimised for human voice transmission, making the microphone suitable for karaoke, singing, and basic sound reinforcement. Its simple connection via a 6.35mm jack and XLR makes it compatible with a wide range of audio devices, such as amplifiers, mixing consoles, or karaoke systems.
Microphone PrincipleDynamic microphones are suitable for open performances, live broadcasts, music production, etc. They use a magnet and a moving coil to capture sound.
Condenser microphones are mainly used for studio purposes. They have higher sensitivity and lower noise. They must be powered separately.
Frequency RangeThe frequency range indicates the range of frequency values that the microphone records. The wider the range, the more sounds it can capture.
Low frequencies (e.g. 20–200 Hz): Bass, the deepest notes of instruments (double bass, kick drum) and male voices.
Mid frequencies (e.g. 200–3,000 Hz): The body of instruments, the foundation of the voice where the ear is most sensitive, important for speech intelligibility.
High frequencies (e.g. 3,000–14,000 Hz): Treble, details, sibilance and the "shine" of the sound.
Air band (above 14,000 Hz): Gives recordings a sense of expensive, super high-quality sound and space.
SensitivityMicrophone sensitivity is the ratio of output voltage to acoustic pressure. It expresses how loud a signal the microphone produces at a given acoustic pressure; higher sensitivity means a stronger voltage and is suitable for quiet studios, while lower sensitivity is better for noisy environments as it amplifies less unwanted ambient noise.
