nJoy Balder 3000

nJoy Balder 3000
The nJoy Balder 3000 UPS is an online UPS with double-conversion technology, which constantly powers devices from the inverter, completely isolating them from mains power anomalies. It provides an apparent power of 3000VA and, thanks to its 1.0 output power factor, a matching real power of 3000W. The output is always a pure sine wave, ensuring the necessary protection for running servers, network components and other sensitive electronics. This 2U rack-mount design makes it ideal for deployment in data centres and server rooms. At full load, it powers connected devices for 3 minutes; at half load, this time extends to 11 minutes.
Key features of the nJoy Balder 3000 UPS
- Online double-conversion topology ensures continuous protection
- Pure sine wave output suitable for sensitive electronics
- Hot-swappable batteries can be replaced without interrupting power
- Supports external battery modules for longer backup times
- Programmable output sockets for load management
- Includes cold start and Emergency Power Off (EPO) functions
- Designed for 2U rack mounting
Topology and efficiency
The online double-conversion topology continuously regenerates the input voltage, filtering out all disturbances and delivering a stable, pure sine wave output. The transition to battery mode has zero delay. The UPS operates with a wide input voltage range of 110–300VAC. To reduce operating costs, it uses an ECO mode, which increases efficiency to 97% by bypassing the inverter when the mains power is stable. In normal AC mode, efficiency reaches up to 91%, and in battery mode, up to 90%.
Battery and backup time
The UPS uses six internal HR09122F batteries, which are hot-swappable, letting you replace them without shutting down connected devices. The charging current can be adjusted from the default 2A up to 8A, which shortens the time to recharge to 95% capacity to approximately 3 hours. You can further extend the runtime by connecting external battery modules. The standard backup time is 26 minutes at 25% load, 11 minutes at 50% load, and 3 minutes at full load. The UPS protects connected electronics with surge protection that has an absorption capacity of 624J. The Emergency Power Off (EPO) function enables an immediate emergency shutdown of the unit.
Management and communication
The clear LCD screen displays all key operating parameters, such as UPS status, load level, battery capacity, input and output voltage, and estimated time until discharge. For management, it uses ViewPower software, which provides tools for remote monitoring and control via HID USB, LAN, and RS232 communication ports. The intelligent slot also allows for the installation of an SNMP or Modbus card for integration into network management systems.
Connectivity and output sockets
The UPS provides data line protection via RJ45 ports. It uses eight IEC C13 sockets and one high-load IEC C19 socket to power appliances. Of these, four IEC C13 sockets are programmable for managing priority loads and scheduling the shutdown of less critical segments.
