Imagine a power outage just before your work was about to be automatically saved. Your document has disappeared, and you have to start again from scratch. Such catastrophic scenarios can be prevented by the nJoy Keen 800 uninterrupted power supply (UPS). In principle, this hardware is just a large battery that provides power for all appliances needing electricity. The nJoy Keen 800 UPS battery backup has the Line interactive design approach. Off-line is seen as the simplest form when power fails because it switches power to the UPS unit itself. The line interactive UPS also adds voltage regulation to guard against dangerous surges travelling along data lines.

A key parameter is the battery run time. This depends on the energy consumption – for example, at half-load (50%), the run time will be three times longer. The load of the backup source governs the operating time, which at full load (100%) is 1 min and at a load of 50%, it's 3 min. It is therefore essential to estimate the energy consumption of the connected appliances and it is best to have a bit of energy extra left. The nJoy Keen 800 shows the apparent power as 800, but in reality, the actual power usage is 480 W.
