NA-IS1-14 Sx2 is a set of two 5mm intake spacers for Noctua 140×25mm fans, to help improve acoustics and performance in suction ("pull") mode, where the fan sucks air through obstacles, like the grids, perforated sheets, mesh panels, filters or radiators. By moving the fan away from the obstruction, the NA-IS1 spacer reduces turbulence in the intake air, which, depending on the application and the specific fan model, can not only improve airflow, but also significantly reduce the overall noise level and make the fan sound more pleasant. Designed to replace the original NA-AVP1 anti-vibration pads, the NA-IS1-14 are compatible with all current Noctua 140×25mm square fans and are very easy to install: For use as a cabinet fan, either the supplied self-tapping screws or the included NA-AV3 anti-vibration mounts can be used to "clamp" the spacer between the fan and the cabinet panel. Both M3 and UNC 6-32 screws are included for mounting on the radiator. Overall, the NA-IS1-14 Sx2 kit is a simple but very effective tuning tool for intake applications where reducing inlet turbulence can lead to better airflow and acoustics.

Improved suction acoustics
Intake applications where fans draw air through obstacles such as grilles or perforated panels are notoriously problematic in terms of noise due to the turbulence created by these obstacles. By inserting a 5mm gap between the fan and the obstruction, the NA-IS1 spacers help to reduce this turbulence, often resulting in a significant improvement in noise level and/or sound character.
More air, less noise
Reducing turbulence at the inlet not only benefits acoustics, but also increases the efficiency of the fans in terms of flow - the blades are less impeded by turbulent air. In many intake applications, the use of spacer frames allows fans to achieve higher airflow and lower noise levels.
Compatible with all current Noctua 140 × 25 mm fans
Replacing the original NA-AVP1 anti-vibration pads, the NA-IS1-14 is compatible with all current Noctua 140×25mm square fans such as the popular NF-A14 or NF-P14s redux series. Fans from other manufacturers are not supported.
Set of 2 (Sx2)
The NA-IS1-14 Sx2 is a set of two spacers plus matching anti-vibration mounts, fan screws and radiator screws - ideal, for example, for a pair of 140mm intake fans in the front of a PC case or two 140mm fans on a 280mm radiator installed as a front intake. For use with water radiators, the NA-IS1-14 Sx2 kit includes 35mm screws for mounting on the radiator: eight pieces with M3 thread and eight pieces with UNC 6-32 thread, so that the customer can choose the right type according to his radiator.
Anti-vibration handles and screws for fans
For use with cabinet intake fans, the NA-IS1-14 Sx2 includes eight long self-tapping fan screws and eight NA-AV3 silicone anti-vibration mounts for tool-free, anti-vibration mounting. Both the screws and the anti-vibration mounts simply slip through the holes in the frame and snap into the fan, so the frame is sandwiched between the fan and the case.
