The Noctua AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimisation) fan frame combines integrated anti-vibration pads with Stepped Inlet Design and Inner Surface Microstructures technologies, which work together to provide the ideal balance between performance and noise. The special shape of the blade inlet creates controlled turbulence, which facilitates the transition from laminar to turbulent flow, thereby reducing tonal noise, improving airflow adhesion, and increasing suction capacity even in confined spaces.

The microstructure on the fan's inner surface suppresses flow separation from the suction side of the blades, resulting in more efficient airflow and higher pressure efficiency at a lower noise level.
