Milk thistle (Silybum marianum (L. ) Gaertn. ) its appearance resembles a rather large thistle and is defacto unmissable, as well as its exceptional healing abilities. Knowledge of its abilities dates back to antiquity, where it was used for liver support. And its ability to stimulate liver regeneration is unrivalled in the plant kingdom, and is thus irreplaceable. Therefore, it is increasingly used in the pharmaceutical but also in the cosmetics industry.
Active ingredient SILYMARIN
One of the most important substances contained in milk thistle seeds is Silymarin. This highly effective substance is beneficial in detoxifying and regenerating liver tissue and also supports the proper function of the entire digestive system. Our largest solid organ is the liver, which performs more than 500 different functions. That's why it's a big problem when they don't work properly. However, the advantage is that compared to other organs, the liver has the ability to regenerate. And this is where we can significantly support the use of milk thistle containing Silymarin.

How to take milk thistle?
- Milk thistle can be taken in many ways in different forms. But not all are equally effective. If you are primarily concerned with detoxification and boosting liver metabolism, the best seeds are those that contain the most active ingredients. Thistle NUPREME in the form of crushed granulated fruit is suitable for long-term use, but also for detoxification treatment.
- The minimum period of taking milk thistle should be 3 weeks for the first effects to appear. However, a detox treatment is ideally 11-12 weeks in length. We recommend taking 7 g (approx. one levelled tablespoon) once a day. The dose can also be divided into two sub-doses per day.
- Milk thistle can be eaten on its own with water, but you can also simply add it to yoghurt, muesli or even to pastry dough for baking and other hot dishes. For the best and lasting effects, it is ideal to take it long-term throughout the year or just as a short-term detoxification treatment of 3 to 12 weeks.

Recommended dosage
