Orocalm Forte 3 mg/ml oral spray 15 ml
Orocalm Forte contains the medicinal substance benzidamine hydrochloride and belongs to a group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. It works by stopping pain and removing swelling (inflammation). Orocalm Forte is indicated for the topical treatment of symptoms of acute sore throat accompanied by typical signs of inflammation such as pain, redness or swelling in the oral cavity and pharynx in adults. The solution is clear and colourless with a cherry flavour. Package size is 15 ml.
Dosage and method of use
Orocalm Forte 3 mg/ml Oral Spray, Solution is usually applied 2 to 6 times a day (no more frequently than every 1.5 to 3 hours): 2 - 4 injections per administration. Unless otherwise prescribed by a physician, elderly patients should apply doses intended for adult treatment. Always use this medicine exactly as directed in the package insert or by your doctor or pharmacist. If you are unsure, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Orocalm Forte is intended for application in the throat or mouth. Do not exceed the recommended dosage. Treatment should not be continued continuously for more than 7 days.
Contraindications
Read the package insert carefully. Not suitable for children and adolescents under 18 years of age. Do not use Orocalm Forte if you are allergic to Benzydamine Hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients in this product. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you think, that you might be pregnant, or you're planning to get pregnant, check with your doctor or pharmacist first, before using this product.
Notice
Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using Orocalm Forte. If you are allergic to salicylates (e.g. acetylsalicylic acid and salicylic acid) or other medicines to treat fever, pain and inflammation (called. non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or NSAIDs) if you have or have had bronchial asthma or allergies in the past, as this puts you at increased risk of bronchospasm or allergies.
If an allergic reaction occurs, discontinue use of the product and contact your doctor or emergency department. Ulcers in the mouth and pharynx can be symptoms of more serious diseases. If your symptoms do not improve within 3 days, or if you feel worse, have a fever or develop other symptoms, consult your doctor. Prolonged use of the product may damage the bacterial flora in the oral cavity and cause hypersensitivity. In this case, it may be necessary to temporarily discontinue use of the product and contact your doctor. Treatment should not exceed 7 days. Make sure that the product does not get into your eyes.
Storage
Keep this product out of sight and reach of children. Do not use this product after the expiry date stated on the box and bottle after EXP. The expiry date shall be the last day of the month indicated. After the first opening, this product should not be used for more than 6 months. Do not dispose of any medicines in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of products you no longer use. These measures help protect the environment.
