Why is tempered glass better screen protection than TPU film?
A thin TPU film protects your screen from minor scratches. However, it does not protect against sharp objects that easily penetrate the soft material. A tempered glass screen protector, on the other hand, offers high protection because the solid glass absorbs the impact energy from a fall. A thin TPU film absorbs less impact energy, which is instead transferred to the device. If you drop your phone, you risk breaking the screen, even if the TPU film survives. When you touch a tempered glass screen protector, it feels like the original screen, whereas TPU film feels like plastic.
