PARALEN 500 mg tablets are intended to reduce fever in influenza, colds and other infectious diseases. The preparation is also suitable for pain of various origins, e.g. headaches, toothaches, painful menstruation, back pain and musculoskeletal pain accompanying flu and colds

Ingredients of Paralen 500 mg

As the name suggests, 1 tablet of Paralen contains 500 mg of paracetamol. Paracetamol is mainly used to relieve pain and reduce fever. It is effective in treating headaches, toothaches, menstrual pain, muscle and joint pain, and fever associated with colds or flu. Due to its gentle effect on the stomach, it is often preferred as an alternative to other analgesics.

The other ingredients are predigested corn starch, povidone 30, sodium salt of croscarmelosya stearic acid.

Dosage and method of use

The table below shows the individual and maximum daily doses of Paralen 500 mg by age and weight. Adults take 1-2 Paralen 500 tablets several times a day as needed at intervals of at least 4 hours, up to a maximum of 8 tablets. They are taken with meals, taking before meals will increase the speed of onset of action, the tablets can be swallowed or crushed, with a sip of liquid.

Contraindications

Due to the amount of medicinal substance in the tablet, the product is not intended for children under 6 years of age. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you think, that you might be pregnant, or you're planning to get pregnant, check with your doctor or pharmacist first, before taking this medicine. If necessary, you can take Paralen 500 mg tablets during pregnancy. Take the lowest possible dose to relieve pain and/or fever and take it for the shortest possible time. If the pain and/or fever does not ease or if you need to take the medicine more often, contact your doctor. Breastfeeding women can take the product for 1 day, longer than 1 day can only take the product after consulting a doctor.

Storage

Keep this product out of sight and reach of children. Store at temperatures up to 25 °C in the original packaging, keep the blister in the box to protect the product from light. Do not use this product after the expiry date stated on the packaging after the abbreviation EXP. Do not dispose of any medicines in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of products you no longer use. These measures help protect the environment.
