Aquarium construction and filtration
The aquarium is built on a solid construction. The frame and lid are made from ABS plastic and complemented by aluminium elements that increase the overall strength of the set. The tank itself is made from highly transparent glass, which provides an undistorted view of the underwater world. A filtration system using filter media in cartridges keeps the water clean. These cartridges contain polyurethane foam for mechanical cleaning, activated carbon to remove discolouration and odours, and ion-exchange resins to adjust the water chemistry.
