Lucky Reptile Desert Bedding Outback Red 7 l
Special natural substrate by Lucky Reptile for dry desert and savannah terrariums. Many desert reptile species don't live directly on sand, but inhabit places with different types of soil. Desert Bedding is ideal for these species. Bearded dragons, spiny-tailed lizards, all types of ground-dwelling iguanas, and many species of gecko will feel truly at home on this substrate. It contains soil from very dry regions as well as clay, which allows the animals to dig shelters. The bottom of this substrate is easy to keep moist, which is important even for species from the driest regions. You can pour the substrate directly into the terrarium or mix it with water in a 4:1 ratio to create a mouldable mixture and sculpt the landscape. To ensure the stability of the sculpted landscape (e.g., a burrow-like hide), we recommend mixing the Desert Bedding substrate with Herp Pottery clay granules. Regularly remove any waste and, depending on the number of animals kept, replace the substrate with a new one periodically.
