Rega Planar 3 RS Edition
The Rega Planar 3 RS Edition is a Hi-Fi belt-drive turntable with a 24V low-noise motor and a precision RB330 tonearm. This special edition uses a high-pressure laminate (HPL) plinth with a brushed aluminium finish and Double Brace technology. It comes factory-fitted with a Rega Nd5 MM cartridge and an EBLT reference drive belt. The setup includes the Neo MK2 PSU, which provides electronic speed switching between 33.3 and 45 RPM, fine speed adjustment, and an anti-vibration motor circuit. The turntable uses a 12mm glass platter with a polished edge and has an RCA Phono connection.

Rigid plinth with Double Brace technology
The Planar 3 RS Edition plinth uses high-pressure laminate (HPL) with a dark brushed aluminium finish. The construction is further stiffened by the Double Brace system, placed between the tonearm mounting and the main hub bearing. This design reduces energy absorption and the creation of unwanted resonance in the plinth. Rega's patented central bearing uses a brass housing and an improved fit, focusing on reducing mechanical stress on the bearing itself. The rotating record is supported by a 12mm platter made of opti-white glass with a polished edge.
RB330 tonearm and Nd5 MM cartridge
The hand-assembled, precision RB330 tonearm was designed using 3D CAD and CAM technology. Its construction works with a precision bearing housing and optimised mass distribution to reduce potential resonance. From the factory, the tonearm is fitted with a Rega Nd5 MM cartridge with an elliptical nude diamond stylus. The cartridge uses a symmetrical generator geometry and miniaturised parallel coils wound with 38-micron wire with 1275 turns. The generator design achieves low inductance and impedance, and an optimised pole gap supports linearity and crosstalk characteristics between channels.
Neo MK2 PSU and 24V motor
The low-noise 24V motor drives the sub-platter via the EBLT reference drive belt and uses its own CNC machined aluminium pulley. The supplied Neo MK2 PSU allows you to electronically switch the rotation speed and perform fine adjustments in 0.01 RPM increments. The power supply's anti-vibration circuit is individually hand-tuned for each motor. The turntable is powered from the Neo MK2 PSU via a Mini DIN connector. An RCA Phono interface is used for connecting to your audio system.
