The Brightness of HDR and TRILUMINOS Colours
The backlight of the Sony Bravia KD-55XF8577 offers brighter images than with conventional LED TVs. A unique algorithm will ensure that there is a a wider range between the lightest and the darkest levels of brightness. It can handle a variety of HDR formats, including HDR10 and Hybrid Log-Gamma. TRILUMINOS technology will selectively map a wider palette of colours, so that subtle tones will not be overpowered or unnatural looking. An incredible picture will immerse you in every single scene.
A 4K HDR Processor X1 and Super Bit Mapping 4K HDR
With a 4K HDR Processor X1 and Super Bit Mapping 4K HDR, the image will come alive with greater depth, detail and a clearly defined structure. Individual pixels and parts of the scene are analysed and compared to a special image database, that is able to accurately predict the structure, contrast, colour, and edges. It also minimises colour striping (so-called colour banding) to make the Sony Bravia KD-55XF8577 ideal for portraying the subtle nuances of faces, sunsets and blue skies.
The World of Google Android and Google Play
The clever Sony Bravia KD-55XF8577 is now even smarter. Discover films, games and other content on Google Play. A huge, ever-increasing selection is waiting for you. This television can even be controlled by your voice, so you won't have to spend precious time typing the name of your new favourite show. Just say what you want, or even have a film recommended for you by simply naming a genre. With Chromecast, you will also be able to transfer content from your mobile device to the stunning TV screen.

More Specifications
Sony Corporation is a Japanese company founded in 1946. Its headquarters is located in Tokyo. Its beginnings were humble. The first product sold under the Sony brand was a transistor radio. It was those radios that played a pivotal role in the company's expansion in the 1960s and the world quickly began to associate Sony products with a reliably stellar price-performance ratio.
In the 1970s, Sony was severely affected by the global economic crisis. Many analysts considered the company effectively defunct and could see no future for it. However, they underestimated the famous Japanese perseverance and courage. The crisis was not a disaster for Sony; on the contrary, it served as a launching pad to even greater heights. The company recovered and soon changed the media landscape with the development of the CD and later the DVD. In the early 1990s, Sony achieved another major success with the introduction of the PlayStation gaming console. It is the gaming consoles that best represent the intersection of the three key areas in which the company operates today – electronics, video games, and the entertainment industry.
