The Ozobot Crawler accessory introduces a new way to program the Evo robot and encourages students to think about robot movement differently than usual. The hands-on kit allows students to explore the basics of mechanical design while programming the robot Evo to move in creative ways - using the Ozobot Blockly solution or the controls in the Evo App. With an insect-inspired design, Ozobot Crawler offers a fresh take on robotics while motivating students to experiment with movement patterns and technical thinking. Each pack contains a box of six individual kits, ready for easy assembly. The individual kits also include surprising colours hidden in sealed bags. Once assembled, the Evo robot is placed in the Crawler, giving it "legs" and the ability to move in unexpected and fun ways.
Working with Ozobot robots and Crawler accessories is a great STEM activity for 3rd through 8th graders. It promotes logical thinking, problem solving, creativity and basic engineering skills. It also offers the opportunity to better understand the connection between robotics and mechanics in practice. Learning is complemented by ready-made content in Ozobot Classroom that helps teachers guide students step-by-step.
