The Ricoh GR IIIx is a high-performance camera featuring a 24MP APS-C CMOS sensor without low-pass filter, three-axis image stabilisation with up to 4 EV compensation and the powerful GR Engine 6 processor. The built-in 26.1mm (40mm equivalent) lens with excellent f/2.8 aperture provides a natural perspective for everyday photography. Full HD video recording (1920×1080) at 60 frames per second is also available. Focusing is provided by hybrid autofocus, which combines contrast detection and phase detection for fast and reliable response.

High-end optics with natural perspective and fast hybrid focusing
The optical construction of the lens consists of seven elements in five groups, including two aspherical elements, which minimize optical defects and ensure excellent image quality. The focal length corresponds to 40 mm (the equivalent of 35 mm film), which is approximately the field of view of the human eye. The nine-blade aperture creates a soft and natural bokeh. Focusing is provided by a hybrid AF system combining contrast and phase detection for fast and reliable focusing.
Stabilized APS-C sensor
Inside the camera is a 24MP APS-C sensor without a low-pass filter, complete with three-axis image stabilisation with compensation for up to four exposure steps. The presence of a filter allows you to capture maximum sharpness and detail, while the sensor is also equipped with an automatic cleaning function.
Fast and accurate focusing with face and eye detection thanks to the hybrid AF system
The GR IIIx is equipped with a hybrid autofocus system that combines the precision of contrast focusing with the speed of phase detection for reliable and responsive autofocus. When using AF, the system automatically detects the subject's face or eye, focuses on it and displays the focus position via a frame on the LCD. If there are multiple faces in the scene, the camera detects the main subject and highlights it, and the user can easily change the focus by tapping the display.
Intuitive touch controls and new features for convenient shooting
The Ricoh GR IIIx brings a host of new features including depth of field priority, eye and face detection, extended aspect ratio (4 : 3, 16 : 9) and automatic file size reduction for faster transfer over Wi-Fi. Control is provided by a 3" 1.037MP LCD touchscreen, whose air-gap-free design minimizes reflections and ensures excellent readability even in direct sunlight. The display is also protected by tempered glass against scratches and mechanical damage.
