TSA lock
The TSA lock system, marked with a red diamond symbol, is primarily used to allow luggage to be easily opened for inspection without damaging it. This also means inspections can be carried out more quickly. TSA security officers can open and check luggage with this type of lock without having to destroy it. All TSA locks are marked with a code from TSA001 to TSA007, which corresponds to the type of universal key used to open this lock. Keys for TSA locks are not sold commercially and are only available to TSA staff. After inspecting the luggage, these officers are required to place an inspection notice in your suitcase and relock it.
