The sporty gravel Author Aura XR6 is on a very lightweight 3x reinforced duralumin frame with universal geometry and fully integrated frame moves including the head tube. The full carbon fork frame has all the modern features such as solid axles front and rear, threaded inserts ready for mounting racks and fenders, and hydroforming. There are also Shimano hydraulic disc brakes and Mavic Allroad branded tubeless wheels. Gear changes are handled by a Shimano GRX 2×12 speed gravel kit. The characteristics of the wheel can be easily changed by fitting suitable tyres. In its original specification with Panaracer Gravel King SK 700×40c tyres, this is a fast sport gravel that will go as well on the road as it will on a gravel road. If you replace it with narrower road tyres, it becomes an asphalt bike. By fitting wider tread tyres, its off-road capability and comfort are greatly enhanced. The maximum possible width of the casing is 45 mm.
