Bery Jones Natural - honest beef jerky in purely natural form
Bery Jones Natural's finely cured beef jerky is created by combining traditional methods, handcrafting and modern technology. Carefully selected pieces of lean top scarf from bulls less than two years old are used for drying. The meat is cut into thin slices which are lightly salted to keep the salt content below 2 %. No colours, preservatives or flavourings are added - just pure beef and a pinch of salt. The slices are then gently dried for a few hours and then cut into smaller pieces by hand. The result is a jerky full of flavour and energy - the ideal snack for all lovers of quality, natural meat. Thanks to the practical resealable zip-lock closure, the pack is ideal for travelling - the jerky stays fresh, safely stored and can be enjoyed at any time of the day.

The word "jerky" comes from the Quechua term "ch'arki", which means dried, salted meat. Jerky is raw meat from which the fat is removed, then cut into strips and dried to prevent spoilage. Drying usually involves the addition of salt, which helps to prevent the development of bacteria in the meat and prolongs its shelf life.
