Erythritol is a non-caloric, natural powdered sweetener with a zero glycemic index, which is found in many fruits, but is also found in small amounts in beer, sake and wine. Sweetens a little less than beet sugar (60-80% of the sweetness of sugar). For the food industry, it is produced by fermentation of glucose.

Use
Primarily for direct sweetening of hot and cold drinks, but its possibilities in the home are universal, e.g. in confectionery, frozen, dairy and fruit desserts, or in baking, cooking and preserving.
Recommended dosage
1 teaspoon of erythritol is equivalent to approximately 2/3 teaspoon of sugar. Excessive consumption can cause laxative effects.
