The Garmin Edge Explore 2 is an easy-to-use GPS bike computer with a 3" colour touchscreen display with route planning and mobile phone connectivity. After charging, it lasts up to 16 hours in GPS mode and 24 hours in power saving mode. Get an overview of every route and all types of bikes with enhanced maps that highlight popular roads and trails, high-traffic areas and points of interest. GPS navigation has many modern features that bring useful benefits. The current speed and travel time data displayed on the screen helps you to plan your route and estimate your arrival time more accurately. You can easily check the total time and distance travelled on the clear display. The cycle counter can also calculate and record your average speed.

You always reach your destination
Get custom ride profiles preset according to your ride type and selected sensors. You can manage your ride profiles directly on the device or on a connected phone. You'll always find the right route thanks to detailed navigation instructions and warnings of upcoming detours. When paired, the Varia reverse bike radar provides increased safety during your ride, so you won't miss an approaching vehicle. Another safety feature is the accident detection function. When the Edge detects an accident, it automatically sends a message with your location to your pre-programmed emergency contacts.
Keep track of your e-bike's climb and endurance
The CLIMBPRO function automatically displays the remaining grade and incline as you climb hills along the route. This will allow you to better distribute your forces and see how long it takes you to reach the top. You can then save the climb on your device or in the Garmin Connect app and evaluate it after your ride. If you own an e-bike compatible with SHIMANO STEPS or ANT+® technology, you can monitor battery life and other data fields on the special e-bike status screen. You can even use smart route planning and range alerts based on battery status.
Other practical features
The Edge Explore 2 is compatible with the Tacx® smart bike trainer, allowing you to train anytime, anywhere. Automatic route recalculation allows you to pause navigation and provides an exit warning when you go off a pre-planned route. When you want to return to your route, the navigation will show you the way.
Keep in touch
When paired with your phone, you can stay in touch with your fellow passengers even if you lose sight of them. And they'll be able to keep an eye on you anyway. With GroupTrack you can track up to 50 friends, who have compatible Garmin devices. Just glance at the screen to see the latest information. Plus, riders with compatible Garmin devices can send group messages to stay in touch. The bike theft alarm is also an invaluable feature. The alarm alerts you to bicycle movement via your paired phone whenever you take a break or refill your water.
