Stacyl 100 mg 60 tablets
Stacyl 100 mg enterosolv. cf. tbl. ent.60 × 100 mg
Stacyl is used to reduce the risk of blood clots and thereby prevent myocardial infarctions, strokes, heart and vascular problems in patients with stable or unstable angina (a type of attack-like chest pain). Stacyl is also used to prevent blood clots after certain types of heart surgery to dilate and relax blood vessels. This medicine is not intended for use in acute conditions. It is used only as a preventive treatment.
Dosage and method of use
Unless otherwise directed by your physician, take one tablet (100 mg) daily. Tablets should be swallowed whole with plenty of liquid (1/2 glass of water). Due to the gastro-resistant coating of the tablets, which prevents the product from irritating the digestive tract, the tablets should not be crushed, broken or chewed. If you are unsure, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Contraindications
Do not administer to children and adolescents under 16 years of age unless directed to do so by a physician on the basis of benefit outweighing risk. Read the package insert carefully.
Notice
Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking Stacyl, especially if you: you have kidney or liver problems or heart problems, you have or have ever had problems related to your stomach or small intestine, you have high blood pressure, you're asthmatic, you have hay fever, nasal polyps or other chronic respiratory diseases; Acetylsalicylic acid can trigger an asthma attack, have you ever had an attack of gout, have heavy menstrual bleeding. You must consult your doctor immediately if your symptoms worsen or you experience serious unexpected side effects, such as. unusual bleeding symptoms, severe skin reactions or any other signs of severe allergy. Tell your doctor that you are due to have elective surgery (even if it is a small procedure such as a tooth extraction), as acetylsalicylic acid reduces blood clotting ('thins the blood') and may increase the risk of bleeding. Acetylsalicylic acid can cause Reye's syndrome when given to children. Reye's syndrome is a very rare disease that affects the brain and liver and can be life-threatening. Therefore, Stacyl should not be given to children under 16 years of age unless directed to do so by a physician. You should take care not to become dehydrated (you may feel thirsty and dry mouth), as in this case taking acetylsalicylic acid may lead to a deterioration in kidney function. This medicine is not suitable for pain control or fever reduction. If any of the above applies to you or you are unsure, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Keep this product out of sight and reach of children. Store at temperatures up to 25 °C. Keep in the original packaging to protect the product from moisture.
