Image Parameters
At the heart of the optical system is a 1/1.8" image sensor supporting 3840 × 2160px resolution at a frame rate of 30 FPS. The motorised varifocal lens offers a focal length from 4.38 to 9.33mm with a variable aperture of F1.3 to F2.15. The field of view is determined by a horizontal angle ranging from 112.1° to 47.5°. Video uses H.264 and H.265 compression formats, which efficiently reduce data storage and network transfer requirements without loss of detail.
Hybrid Night Vision
The camera uses an advanced hybrid illumination system for reliable surveillance in the dark. In black and white mode, 850nm IR diodes help illuminate the scene up to a distance of 38m. When an event is detected, a powerful white LED light is activated with a range of up to 31m. This combination provides colour footage even in complete darkness and helps to identify details accurately.
Intelligent Detection
Integrated artificial intelligence performs image analysis directly on the device. The system reliably recognises people and vehicles and prevents false alarms. Advanced features include smoke detection, restricted zone monitoring and passage counting. The number plate recognition function works reliably at a distance of 3 to 10m from the lens. Users can also take advantage of instant incident search or tracking of moving people.
Sound Recording
The device includes a built-in microphone to capture the soundscape in the monitored area. The audio track is saved along with the video recording using the G.711 compression format. The integrated system actively removes ambient noise to achieve high intelligibility. This gives the user a complete overview of what is happening in the workplace or around the building.
Durable Construction
The metal bullet-style body has a high mechanical resistance rating of IK10 and an IP67 protection rating. The device operates in a temperature range of -30°C to 60°C. A MicroSDHC memory card slot with exFAT format support is available for data storage. Recordings can be saved directly to a connected Synology NAS. Power is supplied either from a 12V DC mains supply or conveniently via an Ethernet cable with PoE technology.
Connectivity Options
Network connection is provided by a single RJ-45 Ethernet port with a speed of 10Mb/s/100Mb/s. The device fully supports HTTPS, SRTP, ONVIF Profile S and RTSP network protocols for secure transfer of encrypted video. Management and live stream monitoring is provided by the DS cam mobile app or the Synology Surveillance Station system in the Google Chrome web browser.
