Thermal Grizzly Shield Coating creates a high-temperature coating to protect computer components against short circuits when using liquid metal and other conductive heat transfer agents. The application temperature is specified in the range of -20°C to 110°C with a curing time of 30 minutes at 20°C. Its primary function is to create a thin but durable non-conductive barrier, which is crucial when applying liquid metal or other electrically conductive thermal materials. The Thermal Grizzly TG Shield protective coating ensures the insulation of CPU, GPU and motherboard components.
The integrated brush included in the package makes applying the coating easy and completely replaces external application tools. The brush's design with fine bristles allows for precise application on small SMD components located in close proximity to the processor core. The user gains full control over the coating application, which guarantees precise coverage of selected areas and protects the heat spreader and processor chip from contamination.
The coating has an acrylic base that dries quickly after being applied to components. The rapid evaporation of the carrier solvents shortens the total time needed to prepare the processor. The user does not have to wait long for the protective layer to cure and can proceed with installing the liquid metal cooler sooner, thus reducing the risk of accidental smudging.
The insulating layer created retains its protective properties even at the high operating temperatures reached by modern processors. The coating material therefore maintains its insulating properties at high temperatures and does not degrade due to thermal cycling. This thermal stability supports reliable and long-term protection of components on the CPU, even in cases of overclocking or intensive loads.
