Take on the role of an aspiring art museum curator in the board game Museum Pictura. The tumultuous 1920s were a time of elegance, extravagance and art admiration, when museums showed the most famous paintings to eager crowds. You will take on the role of curator at one of these museums and be tasked with assembling a collection of art, the likes of which the world has never seen.

Museum Pictura is the ideal choice for art and strategy game lovers aged 14 and up. It is designed for 2 to 4 players, who can enjoy one game for about 60 minutes. The game is suitable for families with teenage children, groups of friends or couples looking for an intellectual challenge with an artistic twist.

At the Museum Pictura, you will become the director of a prestigious gallery in the 1920s. Your mission is to build the most prestigious collection of artworks. You will collect cards of paintings that represent real masterpieces and create thematic or time-based collections in your museum. The game offers several interesting game mechanics. The exchange of paintings with international museums plays a key role, where you have to carefully consider which works you will receive and which you will provide. It is also important to keep up with current trends in the art world that affect the scoring of your acquisitions. By organising temporary exhibitions you can earn valuable bonuses and prestige points. Don't forget the influential patrons whose favour can help you greatly. The whole game is a thrilling balancing act between different strategies and opportunities.

Museum Pictura was released in 2022 by French studio Holy Grail Games. A year later, in 2023, it received a Czech localization, which made it available to domestic players. The play was created by the French author duo Eric Dubus and Olivier Melison, who are known for their ability to create innovative game concepts. The game's visuals are by talented artists Joëlle Drans, Loïc Muzy and Amber Scharf, whose work gives the game an authentic art world feel.
