This indoor and outdoor bullet-style device covers a 111° horizontal and 56° vertical angle. Colour night vision with a range of up to 9 metres is supplemented by two integrated spotlights and advanced motion detection with intelligent person recognition for precise monitoring without false alarms. Power is supplied by a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery with a battery life of up to 180 days, which is continuously charged by the included Tapo A201 solar panel for non-stop, maintenance-free operation.

Detailed 2K image and advanced compression
The 1/2.8" Progressive Scan CMOS Starlight Sensor captures video in crisp 2K 3MPx resolution at a frame rate of 15fps. The fixed lens, with its 3.17mm focal length and F1.65 aperture, captures a wide field of view with a 125° screen size, 111° horizontal, and 56° vertical angle. For efficient data management, the camera uses H.264 standard video compression to save memory card space and reduce data transfer rates. The image is enhanced by 3DNR and WDR technologies, which correct light contrasts in real time.
Colour night vision with spotlights
The camera can monitor in complete darkness thanks to two integrated spotlights and an 850nm infrared illuminator. Colour night vision with a range of up to 9 metres ensures natural colour representation and easy identification of people or objects. The spotlights not only illuminate the scene when motion is detected, but also act as a visual warning to unwanted visitors.
Smart detection and customisable alarm
The integrated motion sensor with a 110° horizontal angle works with artificial intelligence algorithms for precise recognition of people and general movement. In the app, users can set up custom activity zones to eliminate false alarms caused by things like moving branches. When the area is breached, the camera activates a light alarm using the spotlights and triggers a built-in siren of up to 94dB, while instantly sending a notification to your mobile phone.
Two-way communication with noise cancellation
A built-in microphone and speaker enable full two-way conversation with people in front of the lens, which makes communication with couriers, for example, easier. The system uses a noise cancellation feature for clear audio transmission without ambient interference. The audio interface can also be used to record your own voice warning, which plays automatically when motion is detected in the monitored zone.
Flexible storage for your recordings
For storing captured video footage, the camera offers a MicroSD card slot with support for up to 512GB of capacity. The second alternative is the encrypted Tapo Care cloud storage, with the option to send rich notifications in mobile alerts. Due to its battery power, the camera records short, motion-triggered clips, which saves both storage capacity and energy.
Connectivity and application
Wireless network connection is provided by 2.4GHz WiFi according to IEEE 802.11b/g/n standards with WPA/WPA2-PSK security. Device management, privacy zone settings and live streaming are all possible via the Tapo mobile app for iOS and Android. The camera supports integration with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa voice assistants for convenient viewing on compatible smart displays.
