The Ubiquiti UniFi Express (UX) WiFi router functions as a compact gateway and access point with support for the Wi-Fi 6 standard. This dual-band device operates with a combined wireless speed of up to 2973.5Mbps. Its 30×98×98mm design integrates an antenna system for stable signal propagation in both frequency bands. The entire system is powered by a dual-core 1GHz ARM Cortex-A53 processor, complemented by 1GB of RAM. The front panel features a small 0.96" status display. The UniFi Network system version 8.x provides management of network elements from a single cloud interface.

Wireless connection
The device uses the Wi-Fi 6 standard for fast data transfer. The wireless component operates in two bands with 2×2 MU-MIMO technology, which serves multiple client devices simultaneously without any loss of speed. The overall network capacity is resistant to congestion. It reaches speeds of 2400.0Mbps in the 5GHz band and 573.5Mbps in the 2.4GHz band.
Mesh technology and area coverage
The access point provides signal coverage for an area of up to 140m². If needed, you can easily expand the network by connecting additional units into a single mesh system. The system maintains a stable connection for more than 50 connected devices at once and ensures seamless roaming as you move around the space. This means users can switch between nodes without interrupting downloads.
Network security
Network security relies on advanced encryption protocols and active threat protection. The integrated firewall filters traffic at the seventh network layer, and it also includes support for secure remote connections via VPN. The network administrator has full control over user access: WPA, WPA2, WPA3 and WPA-Enterprise encryption, Stateful Firewall and Application-Aware Layer 7 Firewall, content filtering and ad blocking, WireGuard, OpenVPN, and L2TP VPN servers and clients.
Ports and connectivity
Wired connectivity is handled by two ethernet ports on the back of the device. Power is supplied via the included adapter with a USB-C connector. The physical ports are complemented by a small status display on the front panel for a quick status check. The total dimensions of the chassis are just 30×98×98mm.
