The Ubiquiti UniFi Video G5 Dome Ultra indoor IP camera captures its surroundings in 4MP resolution (2688 × 1512 pixels) at 30 frames per second. The fixed-lens optical system provides a horizontal viewing angle of 102.4° and a vertical angle of 54.9° for monitoring indoor spaces. Integrated infrared LEDs illuminate the scene at night with a range of up to 20m in poor lighting conditions. The device has a compact Dome design with a 63.6mm diameter and uses Power over Ethernet (PoE) for simplified wiring, eliminating the need for a separate power adapter.
At the heart of the optical system is a 1/2.4" CMOS sensor, which works with a fixed focal length lens. This system captures video in 4MP resolution, which corresponds to 2688 × 1512 pixels at 30 frames per second. The viewing angle is 102.4° horizontally, 54.9° vertically, and 120.6° screen sizely. The H.264 video compression format ensures efficient data stream processing, reducing the storage space required for files on the network drive.
The device uses functions to recognise specific objects in the monitored area. The system accurately identifies people, vehicles, and animals, significantly reducing the number of false alarms. When activity is detected, it sends an instant notification to the user's mobile phone, keeping them constantly informed. The user can adjust all sensitivity and detection zone settings directly in the user interface.
The compact design, with a diameter of 63.6mm and a height of 68.2mm, is suitable for indoor surface mounting on walls or ceilings. The aluminium alloy and polycarbonate body provides mechanical resistance against impact and vandalism according to the IK06 standard. The device operates in a temperature range of -20 to 40°C with up to 90% non-condensing humidity. The IPX5 protection rating protects the internal electronic components from splashing water.
A single RJ-45 Ethernet port with a speed of 10/100 Mbps is used for network connection. Power is supplied exclusively via PoE in the voltage range of 37 to 57V DC with a low power consumption of up to 4.2W. As the entire user interface is in English, configuring the parameters requires basic language skills. The entire system and live stream can be managed in the manufacturer's app or in the Home Assistant system on iOS, Android, and Windows operating systems.
