Co-enzyme B complex represents the peak among dietary supplements with B vitamins. It contains all the vitamins of this group in a dual form - the vitamins themselves, but also their co-enzymes (methylated and phosphorylated forms). The result is the maximum possible utilization for the organism.
Why are co-enzymes important?
B vitamins work in the body by being converted into co-enzymes naturally (by a process in the body). These then further aid enzymatic reactions (enzymes in the body trigger almost all important processes and co-enzymes aid these processes). For example, vitamins B2 and B6 are converted to phosphorylated forms in the liver and further function as coenzymes. In contrast, vitamin B12 is active in the body as methylcobalamin (methylated form) and adenosylcobalamin (phosphorylated form). Supplementation of both forms of vitamins therefore helps to maximize their availability.
