What are lutein and zeaxanthin?
Lutein and zeaxanthin are natural yellow dyes from the carotenoid group, which are found in high concentrations in the retina and especially in the macula (yellow spot) of the eye. They form the main components of macular pigment and play an important role in protecting the eyes. Both carotenoids act as powerful antioxidants. They also have the ability to filter out harmful blue light, thereby protecting sensitive retinal cells from damage. The macula, where they are concentrated, is responsible for sharp central vision. Lutein and zeaxanthin cannot be produced by the human body itself and are therefore dependent on dietary intake. They occur naturally, especially in green leafy vegetables, corn, egg yolks and some other foods.

Filler: microcrystalline cellulose, calendula flower extract (Tagetes erectaL. ), L-ascorbic acid (vitamin C), DL-alpha tocopheryl acetate (vitamin E), zinc citrate, coating (thickeners: hydroxypropylmethylcellulose and hydroxypropylcellulose, binder: talc, dyes: calcium carbonate and E172(ii), medium chain triglycerides), sodium selenite, anti-caking agent: magnesium salts of fatty acids, cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12), pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6), retinyl acetate (vitamin A), riboflavin (vitamin B2).
Recommended dosage
1 tablet daily with sufficient water. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. The product is intended for adults.
