Installation without door intervention
The Xiaomi Self-Install Smart Lock is designed as an internal unit that installs onto an existing cylinder and mechanically turns the key for you. Installation takes place without drilling and without modification of the door, which allows self-assembly. Compact dimensions of 59 × 141 × 60 mm and a weight of 538 g allow for unobtrusive placement on the inside of the door. The ABS and PC construction ensures durability for everyday use.
Power and smart connectivity
The lock is powered by a Li-Ion battery with a capacity of 2450 mAh and a nominal voltage of 7.2 V DC. Wireless communication is via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, which allows direct connection to a mobile app without the need for complicated cabling. Support for the Matter standard, developed by the Connectivity Standards Alliance, facilitates integration into open smart home ecosystems across brands. Security is ensured by an independent Mi Home chip certified to European standard EN18031, which provides multi-level software and hardware protection.
Compatibility with voice assistants
Xiaomi Self-Install Smart Lock supports voice control via Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple Siri within compatible ecosystems. Unlocking via Alexa and Google Assistant is done by entering the user's PIN, which increases the level of security for voice command. In the Apple environment, unlocking is available after the user authenticates to a Siri-enabled device. Voice control requires a connection to the relevant third-party platform and activation of this feature in the app. The specific options may vary depending on assistant settings, language and compatibility of connected devices.
Note:This variant of Xiaomi Self-Install Smart Lock does not include an external keypad for PIN entry; in case of a requirement for code unlocking, the corresponding set must be selected.
