Wide protocol support
YubiKey 5C NFC keys support several authentication protocols, making them highly versatile. In addition to the modern FIDO2 and WebAuthn standards, which enable passwordless login, they are also compatible with the older U2F protocol. For generating one-time passwords, you can use the OATH-TOTP standard, which is common in many authenticator apps. The tokens also support OpenPGP for communication encryption and smart card (PIV) functionality.
