The album was a commercial success, debuting at number one in 34 countries and selling over 12 million copies. It spawned the hits "Vertigo", "Sometimes You Can't Make It on Your Own", "City of Blinding Lights", "All Because of You", "Love and Peace or Else" and "Window in the Skies". The album received mixed reviews from critics, who praised the band's ambition and musicianship but criticised the over-reliance on electronic effects.
LP Record The phoenix rising from the ashes is a frequently cited motif in cultural history. Rarely, however, does it fit as perfectly as it does for PRIMAL FEAR's triumphant return – only here, it's a steel eagle rising from the ashes. Their new, thirteenth album, "Code Red", is a rebirth and a hard-hitting metal masterpiece all in one, a living testament to the healing power of music and the brotherhood behind the riffs. And by the way, the German power metal traditionalists also deliver a new career-best album, one that even puts the mighty "Metal Commando" from 2020 in the shade.
LP Record Minutes to Midnight is the third studio album by the American rock band Linkin Park, released on 15 May 2007 by Warner Bros. Records. The album, produced by Mike Shinoda and Rick Rubin, was recorded in Los Angeles, California. Minutes to Midnight was the band's first album to feature drummer Rob Bourdon and turntablist Joe Hahn. The album's title, Minutes to Midnight, refers to the Doomsday Clock. This clock is a symbol that represents the threat of global nuclear war and is displayed on the wall of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists' office in Chicago, Illinois. Minutes to Midnight received mixed reviews from music critics.

LP Record The Flower Kings: Back In The World Of Adventures is the debut studio album from the Swedish progressive rock band The Flower Kings, released in 1995. This album marks the beginning of the band's prolific career, showcasing their characteristic symphonic rock style which they would continue to develop over the years. The album is composed of diverse tracks, each offering a unique auditory experience. It includes the epic opener, "World Of Adventures", which sets the tone for the album's grand and exploratory nature. Other tracks like "Atomic Prince / Kaleidoscope" and "Go West Judas" further demonstrate the band's intricate compositions and musical virtuosity.
LP Record Udo's path: the cover album Udo Dirkschneider is a pioneer of heavy metal in Germany. The musician was a founding member and singer of the heavy metal icons Accept, and the "gravelly voice" is also the leader of the band U.D.O. In 2022, he celebrates his 70th birthday. To mark the occasion, he is releasing a new solo album. "My Way" is a fitting title that hints at a personal work. And that's exactly what it has become: "My Way" features a total of 17 cover songs, new Dirkschneider versions of tracks that have influenced him throughout his career.

LP Record Since the release of their 2018 album "Sonder", TesseracT have scaled new heights all over the world, touring with bands like Bullet For My Valentine, Dream Theater and Gojira. With their fifth studio album, "War Of Being", TesseracT return with a career-defining work that is their most conceptual, dynamic and sonically complex yet. The story follows the interdimensional journey of two characters (Ex & El) in The Strangeland, a world that reflects the socio-economic state of our own. Throughout its hour-long runtime, the band treats listeners to expansive atmospheres, passionate vocal performances from Daniel Tompkins and riffs as heavy as an atomic bomb.
LP Record For many years, Marvel's successful series of action heroes has captivated cinema audiences, not just in comic book form, but also as major Hollywood blockbusters. Following the success of the first Deadpool film – the anti-hero of the Marvel universe – the sequel is now hitting cinemas. The film stars Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin (from the TV series Gotham), and Josh Brolin. The score was composed by American music producer, composer, and musician Tyler Bates, who is best known as the guitarist for Marilyn Manson. He also composed the action-packed music for the two popular Guardians of the Galaxy films, John Wick: Chapter 2, and Atomic Blonde.
LP Record The dark, melancholic, and powerful Amorphis are back. Three years after "Under The Red Cloud", the Finnish melodic progressive metal pioneers are finally unveiling its successor: "Queen Of Time" is the name of their new, 13th studio album. To create it, the band once again joined forces with Jens Bogren. Over three months of hard work at Fascination Street Studios in Örebro, they forged a new, darkly melancholic masterpiece of twelve songs, exploring the rise and fall of human civilisation. Amorphis are supported by multi-instrumentalist Chrigel Glanzmann (Eluveitie), singer Anneke van Giersbergen, vocalist Albert Kuvezin, and saxophonist Jørgen Munkeby. What's more, "Queen Of Time" also features stunning orchestral and choral arrangements.
LP Record The first incarnation of Atomic Rooster, featuring Vincent Crane (organ/vocals), Nick Graham (vocals/bass guitar), and Carl Palmer (drums), was only together long enough to record their 1970 debut album. Having risen from the ashes of the recently disbanded Crazy World of Arthur Brown, Graham – the only bassist Atomic Rooster ever had – was a last-minute addition to the band. The material was predominantly written by Crane, consisting of songs that were both heavy and versatile. A sense of agility is always present across the impressively distinct styles, from folk-inspired country songs and blues arrangements with horns to rock and jazz compositions. In his lyrics, Crane reveals his fondness for dark symbolism.
LP Record Blondie broke up for more than 16 years before returning in 1998 for a world tour. The eagerly awaited reunion became a huge event, perfectly captured in high quality on the aptly titled album "Live". In New York, the band, fronted by Debbie Harry, played a setlist packed with timeless classics like "Atomic", "One Way Or Another", "Heart of Glass", and "Maria".
LP Record After the success of the album "Death Walks Behind You", a performance on Top of the Pops and a successful tour, it was time for the new stars Atomic Rooster to record their third album. The album is a perfect example of the band's evolution. Less bombastic than its predecessors, "In Hearing Of" is almost funky. The lyrics are – as was common in British hard rock at the time – full of doom and gloom, with occasional allusions to classical music bubbling to the surface. Against this, Atomic Rooster sets Vincent Crane's tasty keyboards and ear-catching melodies. If we had to define the genre of "In Hearing Of", we could say it's not quite metal, nor is it entirely progressive, but it is nonetheless moving and very well executed.
